Why I love Robins Egg Agate
One of the most popular stones I offer in my jewelry is called Robins Egg Agate. I've seen this agate bead referred to by other names but the reason I like Robins Egg is that is perfectly represents the gorgeous array of blue colors found in this stone.
Agate is a very common rock formation that consists of chalcedony and quartz as its primary components. It is typically formed within volcanic rocks and has been used since ancient greek times for jewelry making. Agate is known to rebalance and harmonize the body, mind and spirt by cleansing the aura and removing negativity. I can't think of a more appropriate stone to wear when your feeling a bit down or just need a little pick me up.
While I've used Robins Egg Agate in many jewelry combinations, my newest design happens to be one of my favorites. I've paired two gorgeous shapes - round beads and a fabulous barrel shaped focal, with matte coral riverstone beads. I really love how this set came out.
